Can I change the relationship strength scoring?
One of the common use cases for 4Degrees is having visibility into how strong key relationships are across the team. Our product does this through relationship strength scoring - which analyzes the history of your communications with a contact.
These scores are automatically set where there is enough data for a score, but can be changed. This article will show you how!
You can only edit the relationship strength for a contact that you either i) know directly (and are a part of 'your' contacts), or ii) that you have permission to edit, based on the sharing settings of your teammate.
If the Harvey Ball is gray, this means that that contact is a teammates' and not yours (and may not be editable, depending on your team's settings).
If the Harvey Ball is purple, the contact is 'yours' and may be edited.
- First, go to the Contacts tab and locate the relevant contact(s). Then go to the "Strength" column for that contact.
- If the contact has enough data for a score, you'll see a Harvey Ball that is anywhere from empty to totally full. If there is not enough data, you will see a Harvey Ball with a plus symbol (+) in the middle.
- Assuming the contact is yours, or that you have permission to edit that contact's information, click on the Harvey Ball under the Strength column.
- Select the suitable option to indicate the strength of your relationship: Very high; High; Medium; Low or Very low
- Click Save to retain your changes.
