Why is some Deal data not included in my export?

4Degrees strives to reduce the amount of time you spend on data entry.  We do that by sourcing that data from external sources, including Crunchbase. Unfortunately Crunchbase's Terms of Service restricts us from exporting data we've received from them outside of our system (including CSV exports).

Where we can, we'll substitute data from other enrichment sources on your behalf, but there will be cases where those sources are unable to provide that data.  In those cases, those fields will be exported as blank. 

Fields that can be impacted by this include:

• Location
• Description
• Employee Count
• Last Funding Round Type
• Last Funding Round Amount
• Last Funding Round Date
• Total Funding
• Investors

To see if any of the fields you're using are impacted, click on the List Settings button in the top right corner of the deals section.

In the Edit List page, look for the column called “type” and look for the fields listed above (Last Funding Round, Investors, etc.).

One important exception -  if you have manually altered the auto-populated data, that data will be exported. But, if the data is unaltered, it will not be exported.
