How to retain data for a removed user

When removing a user from your 4Degrees account, their contact data, notes, and interactions are typically deleted. If you’d like to retain this data, there are two options:

Option A:  Decommission the user’s account but keep it within your organization.

  • You’ll keep clear records showing who originally owned each contact, making it easy to see which relationships were managed by the former employee.
  • Full visibility and edit access to interactions and contacts remain.
  • Contacts will stay attributed to the past employee, but you can transfer ownership by exporting and re-uploading contacts under a new user if needed.

Option B:  Remove the account and shift the user’s contacts and interactions to another user.

  • All contacts and interactions are reassigned to a specific user.
  • It will no longer be possible to distinguish which contacts were originally owned by the past employee.
  • The new user will be assigned to all relevant deals as well.

Before proceeding, please email help@4degrees.ai with written confirmation (either from the departing user or per your company policy) and indicate whether you’d like Option A or Option B.
