Customizing Report colors
You can now tailor the look of any report by selecting curated palettes or defining your own primary and secondary colors. Once saved, all team members see the updated colors in‑app and in any exports (PDF/PNG).
1. Open the Report and Click Customize colors
- Navigate to the report you want to style.
- In the chart area’s toolbar, click Customize colors.
2. Choose a Preset or Begin a Custom Palette
In the Customize colors modal you’ll see:
- Presets: Five curated gradients.
- Custom colors: An empty slot with links to Add primary color and Add secondary color.
- To use a preset, select its radio button.
- To build your own palette, click Add primary color, then Add secondary color.
3. Pick Your Custom Colors
When you click Add primary color or Add secondary color, a Select color grid appears:
- Click any swatch to choose that color.
- Click Confirm to save your selection and return to the Customize colors modal.
- Repeat for the secondary color.
4. Review Your Custom Palette and Confirm
Back in Customize colors, you’ll see your two chosen colors rendered as a gradient strip:
- Use the pencil icon to change either color.
- Use the trash icon to remove it and pick again.
- Select its radio button to apply this custom palette.
- Click Confirm in the modal to save.
- Click Close if you change your mind (no colors are applied).
5. See Your Customized Report!
Once confirmed, the chart (and any themed tables) update reflect your chosen colors.
What’s Themed
- Charts and Graphs: All data series use your primary-to‑secondary gradient.
- Table Headers: Background and highlight rows adopt a shade from your palette.
- Exports: PDFs and PNGs mirror in‑app colors exactly.
FAQ
Can I revert to the original colors?
Yes. Open Customize colors, select any preset (including the first “default” gradient), and confirm.
Who can change colors?
Any user with edit permission on the report.
Will old exports change?
No. Only future in‑app views and exports use the new theme.
