Bulk editing fields

Managing dozens of records at once? The Bulk Edit feature helps you quickly update information across many contacts, companies, or deals / lists — without editing each one individually.

Whether you're adjusting deal stage, assigning owners, or updating valuation data, you can now do it all from your list view in just a few clicks.

How It Works

1. Select Records

  • Go to any list view: Deals / Lists, Contacts, or Companies and use the checkboxes next to each record to select items (Or use the checkbox at the top of the table to grab everything in view).
  • From there, click the "Bulk Edit" button that shows up towards the top of the.

💡 As you select, a menu will appear at the top showing how many records are selected and offering bulk actions.

2. Select the fields you want to edit

  • In the modal that appears, choose the fields you want to update by clicking the checkbox next to the field name (e.g., Valuation, Assigned To, Strength, Location, etc.)
  • You can search or scroll to find the field you want

3. Input the New Value

  • Once you choose a field, the appropriate input will appear:
    • Dropdowns for select fields
    • Calendar picker for dates
    • Text boxes for notes
  • For contact notes and jobs, the system adds values — it doesn’t replace them.  For other fields the new value replaces the prior value.

⚠️ If you select contacts you don’t have permission to edit, you’ll see a note like: “6 of your selected contacts will not be updated due to insufficient permissions.”

⚠️ If you select a field but leave it blank, the system will DELETE the values that are in that field for the records you've selected

4. Review & Confirm

  • Before applying changes, you’ll see a confirmation screen:
    • Number of records that will be updated
    • Summary of the change you're making
  • Click Apply Changes to confirm you'd like to to all eligible records.

Fields You Can Bulk Edit

You can edit ALL custom fields that you have created for any object (Contacts, Companies, and Deals / Lists).  In addition, you can also edit the following default fields:

Contacts

  • Location (replaces existing value)
  • Notes (appends to current notes)
  • Strength
  • Job - Role
  • Job - Company

Companies

  • Assigned To
  • Description

Deals / Lists

  • Location
  • Description
  • Date Received
  • Source
  • Assigned To

🎯 Note: “Tags” and “Stage” are edited via their own dedicated controls and not through this bulk edit workflow.
