How to Create Headers in Single and Multi-Select Fields
Headers help to create organization and structure to your single and multi-select fields. 4Degrees admins have the ability to change different field settings in the Edit Fields page - if you are not an admin, you will not be able to do this.
Edit List
First, navigate to the contact page or deal list you want to edit. Then select the "List Settings" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
If you are creating a new single or multi-select field, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "add field". Then, give your field and name, and select the type of field you want (multi-select or single-select).
Now you should be in the Options modal. Here you can create your single or multi-select options, and you can create headers for those options.
Headers are a great way to organize a long list of single or multi-select options. Headers are not selectable though, so don't expect to be able to select them as an option. They are simply a way to organize and create structure.
To add a Header, select "add header". In the image below, you can see that I created two headers called "Colors" and "Numbers". These headers each contain two selectable options. Now let's see what this looks like on the deal or contact page!
When you navigate to the new single or multi-select field in the deal or contact page, you can see the new headers we just created. These headers aren't selectable, but they help to organize the options in this field.
