Contact Reference Fields
What are Contact Reference Fields?
Contact reference fields link contact pages to a deal. Teams create contact reference fields to serve a number of purposes. For example, we use a field titled "Founder" to link the founder's contact profile to each deal. Other use cases include investors, sources, and more.
Add a Contact Reference Field to your Deal List
To create a contact reference field, you must be an admin. If you are an admin, you will see an "list settings" button in the upper right-hand corner of your deal list page.
Click the "list settings" button to navigate to the edit fields page. Next, you'll need to scroll to the bottom of the page and add a new field. Once you'd added a new field, give your field a name and select "contact reference" from the dropdown list.
Once you save the list, you'll have a contact reference field!
Right now, you'll only be able to add a contact's name that links to their contact page. Click here to learn how to add details like email address, location, company, and more to the contact reference field.
